RFID Based Race Tracking
RFID Race Tracking System
Our solutions are trusted by institutions across multiple campuses, helping libraries achieve accuracy, efficiency, and complete visibility.
Hello! Wish to Know about our RFID Automation Process?
- Managing races, marathons, and sports events requires accurate participant identification, precise tracking, and reliable race completion timings to publish accurate results.. Manual methods often lead to missed detections, timing errors, and delays in publishing results.
- 2cqr’s RFID based Race Tracking System automatically tracks participants as they cross the start line, finish line, and checkpoints, providing accurate timing, real time visibility in the race, and dependable race data for organisers and participants.
Key Challenges in Race Tracking Management
- Manual timing errors and inconsistencies
- Missed participant detection at checkpoints
- Difficulty handling large numbers of participants
- Delays in result processing and publishing
- Lack of real time race progress visibility
How RFID Based Race Tracking Works
Each participant is issued an RFID tag, usually attached to a bib, wristband, or shoe. UHF RFID antennas placed across the start line, finish line, and checkpoints capture the tag signal as participants pass through, while the connected UHF RFID readers process this data and send it to the system. The system then records the exact time and location of each detection, allowing organisers to track participant progress and generate accurate race timings and results.
2CQR’s RFID Based Products for Race Tracking
1. UHF RFID Tags
UHF (Ultra High Frequency) RFID tags are issued to each participant and serve as a unique identifier, allowing the system to accurately detect and track every runner or athlete during the race.
Key Features:
- Unique identification for each participant.
- Lightweight and comfortable to wear.
- Reliable detection in outdoor environments
2. RFID Tagging Station
The tagging station is a software that is used to encode the RFID tag with a unique ID and link it to the participant’s registration details before the event, ensuring accurate participant identification during the race.
Key Features:
- Encodes RFID tags with participant IDs.
- Links tags to race and registration data.
- Ensures accurate participant onboarding.
3. UHF RFID Readers
UHF RFID readers are installed at the start line, finish line, and checkpoints to automatically detect participants and record their timing as they pass through.
Key Features:
- Automatic participant detection at race points.
- High speed reading for large participant volumes.
- Reliable performance in outdoor conditions.
4. UHF Antennas
UHF antennas are connected to the readers and placed across the race lanes to provide wide and accurate detection of participants as they pass through.
Key Features:
- Wide detection coverage across track width
- Accurate detection even in crowded environments
- Supports multi lane and highdensity races
