RFID readers or biometric devices installed at campus gates, building entrances, laboratories, server rooms, hostels, and staff areas verify a person’s identity when they attempt to enter, check whether they are authorised for that location and time, and then either grant access and log the entry automatically or deny access and trigger an alert if the person is not authorised.
