RFID Based Asset Tracking
RFID Based Asset Tracking
Our solutions are trusted by institutions across multiple campuses, helping libraries achieve accuracy, efficiency, and complete visibility.
Hello! Wish to Know about our RFID Automation Process?
- Organisations today manage hundreds or thousands of valuable assets across departments, buildings, and locations. Manual tracking makes it difficult to know where assets are, how they are being used, and whether any are missing.
- 2cqr’s RFID based Asset Tracking System provides real time visibility into asset location, movement, and status, helping organisations reduce losses, improve utilisation, and maintain accurate records.
Key Challenges Faced by Campuses Today
- Difficulty in locating assets when needed
- Loss, theft, or misplacement of high value equipment
- Manual registers and spreadsheets based tarcking , leading to errors
- Time consuming audits and verification
- No visibility into asset movement or usage
How RFID Based Asset Tracking Works
Each important asset is attached with a small RFID tags that contains a unique identification number. RFID readers placed at entry points, rooms, or carried by staff (Handheld readers) automatically detect the tag whenever the asset is moved. The system then updates the asset’s location and movement history in real time. This makes it easy to see where an asset is, when it was last used, and whether it has been moved without authorisation without relying on manual records.
2cqr’s RFID Based Products for Asset Tracking
1. RFID Tags
RFID tags are attached to individual assets to uniquely identify and track them.
Key Features:
- Unique identification for each asset
- Enables automatic detection and tracking
- Supports long term asset monitoring
2. RFID Tagging Station
The RFID Tagging Station is a software used to encode (write) a unique ID onto each RFID tag and link that tag to the corresponding asset record in the system. This process ensures that every asset is correctly registered and can be tracked accurately throughout its lifecycle.
Key Features:
- Encodes and programs RFID tags with unique identification data
- Links each RFID tag to its asset details in the system
- Ensures accurate and error-free asset onboarding
3. Fixed RFID Readers
Fixed RFID readers are installed at key locations such as entry and exit points, rooms, or corridors to automatically detect asset movement without any manual action.
Key Features:
- Automatically detects assets as they move through monitored areas
- Records asset movement and location changes in real time
- Helps identify unauthorised movement or asset removal
4. Handheld RFID Readers
Handheld RFID readers are portable and can be used by staff to quickly scan and locate assets by simply moving the device across rooms, shelves, or storage areas. This helps verify assets, find missing items, and perform audits without manual counting.
Key Features:
- Fast scanning and verification of multiple assets
- Helps locate missing or misplaced assets quickly
- Supports audits, stock checks, and asset verification
